If you’re thinking of charting a new course in your life, consider Womanship, a sailing school for women run by women that has been operating since 1984.  Founder Suzanne Pogell discovered sailing as an adult and created the business to share “this remarkable opportunity” with other women.  Located in Annapolis, MD, Womanship offers sailing lessons from beginner to advanced levels taught by Womanship-trained, U.S. Coast Guard-licensed women instructors.  Go out for the day or live aboard for a few days to as long as a few weeks.  Master skills such as navigation, safety, trip planning, and becoming a skipper.

We think one of the most exciting ways to experience this program is to gather a group of women friends and take a women sailing journey together.  You can choose from the exciting array of sailing trips scheduled for 2008, such as Ireland, New Zealand, Greece or Turkey, or Womanship will work with you to create a custom sailing experience.  Custom sailing experiences can be created for couples and families too.  There’s a discount offered for groups of two to six that book and pay together.
