What trip to Milan would be complete without some designer shopping?  Now, you can follow that with designer dining at Dolce & Gabbana’s new Gold Restaurant.  Located near the dashing duo’s showroom, the restaurant is adorned with its namesake color in every way imaginable as well as sparkling crystal.  Along with the dinner-only dining room, which has played host to a number of celebrities such as Paris Hilton and supermodel Gisele Bundchen, there is a more casual bistro, a lounge and a coffee bar.  Should you want to take home the gold, there is also a shop offering some of the restaurant’s items for purchase, packaged in gold bags, of course.  Cuisine is Mediterranean, and there is an alternative “healthy” menu with lighter choices.  Now, if you’re a serious foodie, you may want to skip the experience and the glitz and go to Cracco-Peck, an outstanding restaurant that was named to Restaurant magazine’s Top 50 Restaurants in the World list for 2007.
