Q. How do you decide what to write about on BoomVoyage?
A. Several factors are involved in our topic selection. First, we write about what we’re interested in at the moment. Many of us are traveling Boomers just like you. Second, we spend a lot of time researching what’s new, what’s hip, what’s offbeat in the travel world, because we want our site to reflect those trends. Finally, we get ideas about places, people, and ways of going from people just like you. So, check out our Talk to Us page if you’re interested in sharing your travel tips on BoomVoyage.
Q. Is BoomVoyage the one who actually books my trip when I call the toll-free number?
A. No. BoomVoyage is not a travel agency. We have partnered with Casto Travel, a large agency headquartered in Santa Clara, CA to handle all travel arrangements for BoomVoyage customers. We selected Casto because of their excellent reputation and depth of leisure travel expertise and trip offerings—and we like them. Read more about Casto on our Partners page.
Q. When I visit the BoomVoyage site or sign up for your newsletter, is my personal information safe?
A. The information we collect from site visits is not in individual form. To help us improve the site, we collect data on which areas are most visited, etc. Your individual information collected at newsletter sign-up is never sold or rented. If you choose, you can elect to receive information on special promotions from BoomVoyage or from our marketing partners.
Q. We have been planning a special trip to "Destination X", but I did not find any articles about it on your site?
A. It’s a big world, and we haven’t gotten to every corner of it yet, or we may not feel your chosen destination is one that fits what we’re writing about at the moment. Two things to do: 1. Drop us a line at BoomVoyage (TalktoUs@BoomVoyage.com) and ask us to write about it. 2. Call our travel partner, Casto at 866-958-8687. They have tremendous expertise and can help you plan a trip anywhere.
Q. Could I write a story for BoomVoyage?
A. There are two ways to write for BoomVoyage. If you want to see your own personal travel story on our pages (BV First Person Travel), send us a brief encapsulation of your destination, experience, etc. and we will contact you if it is a story that works for us.
