Remember the feeling of rolling down a steep, grassy hill as a child? The rush of speed, the glorious feeling of freedom that lasted until you hit a rock or until your mom saw the grass stains? Now there’s a way to recapture the rush without the pitfalls with Zorb. Invented by Kiwis (the same nation that brought us bungee jumping), the Zorb is an 11-foot inflatable, transparent sphere within a sphere. Riders, dubbed "zorbanauts" by the company, are fully protected from the ground by a two-foot cushion of air. The Zorb rolls down the hill achieving speeds of more than thirty miles per hour. Rides occur at official Zorb sites and are guided by professionals whose job is to keep you safe. You can ride a Zorb yourself by going to its home in New Zealand or to one of more than a dozen other countries including the U.S. at Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, in the Smoky Mountains.
